Our plan was successful because we were able to show the bus lot how important it is to have correct tire pressure. They were willing to accept our advice and help because they were already very concerned with being environmentally conservative (the buses use natural compressed gas). We also had enormous success when we talked to our community. There was a very positive reception. Our community was very appreciative so we feel very successful. We have seen our potential success through mathematical deduction. If, as planned, the bus lot were to enforce our suggestion on all 111 buses, it would save 31,080 pounds of carbon dioxide from being emitted in one year. This small change could have a huge impact! Our achievements have given the group hope for the future.
