Our team wanted to involve our community in order to make everyone aware of the issue of tire pressure. We involved our school community by presenting our project to the school in an assembly. We described the Lexus Challenge and then focused on the importance of properly inflated tires. We showed an instructional video that we made in order to teach our classmates how to take their own tire pressure and keep their tires properly inflated. We also distributed flyers to parents at the pick-up site at school; the flyers described the importance of tire pressure and information on maintaining properly inflated tires. Another way we kept our community involved was through technology: we created a website containing abundant information on our project. To promote our website, we created a group on Facebook, which is available to all students. The website is accessible from this network.
